Hi all....
I am wanting to do either a sugar cookie, shortbread or a butter cookie that will easily chill & make good cutout cookies. I am planning to decorate them w/ the Royal Icing recipe for cookies that I believe was posted by Antonia47 (I think that is who posted it). Anyway, I know that Royal Icing isnt the most tastiest, so I wasnt sure what kind of cookies work best. I love the way cookies look with the royal icing & want to try it out. Any recommendations or specific recipes that have proven good for anyone would be much appreciated! Thanks.....

i use just a plain rolled sugar cookie recipe. I also, add a teaspoon of vanilla to my royal, it really makes it taste good.

I use a plain sugar cookie recipe as well (although I think I'm going to try a chocolate one soon).

Count me in as another one who puts flavor extracts into royal. Vanilla, lemon, orange. Vanilla and orange together is one of my favorites.

I was wondering if anyone had ever put butter extract into royal icing? And, if so, how that works out?
