I have been searching for a knight cookie cutter for months. Anyone have any ideas? Also, anything else that would apply to knights. I have to make lots of cut outs for an alumni banquet and the school mascot is a knight. I did find a kit to fashion your own cutter, but I have never done that before. Has anyone? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I couldn't find anything other than medieval dragons, crowns, castles. Hmmmm... How many do you have to make? Is hand-cutting the cookies not an option? I have never made cutters but there are a few who have. If you do a search, you'll find their threads. I did a knight's shield (that I hand-cut) for our library's medieval theme. You could maybe add something like that to your theme. It's in my gallery.

Keep us posted on what you find.

I've made my own cookie cutters.....it's really not that difficult depending on the design you're after........I just googled some images of the things I wanted....printed them in the appropriate size and then took a string and traced over the lines of the photo with the string and then added an inch or two if there are a lot of curves and then I took the string off and used that to measure the length of aluminum flashing, cut the length I wanted and used needle nose plyers and dowel rods to help me bend it to the shape of the photo........I've also stuck the paper on a piece of wood and nailed little tiny nails in the corner of each bend in the photo and then used the nails as a guide the bend the aluminum around following the lines of the picture and then I use an adhesive for metal that I found at Home Depot that says Non-Toxic on it and use mini clamp to hold it and let it sit over night to cure as per the directions on the adhesive.....I've been using them for almost a year and haven't had any problems and it's a really cheap alternative for cookie cutters , and I just throw them in my dish washer and they're fine, never had any trouble!

here is a site that has one though if you don't want to bother!

Thanks for your info. After I posted the ?? I tried a few different searches, with variations of knight (knight head, medivial knight) and a new web site popped up. It is kitchengifts.com. The cookie cutter was rather pricey because it is copper, but I really didn't mind. It was about $15 with shipping. I need to make about 300 cookies, so hand cutting was definitely not an option. I appreciate the info on making my own design. In case the situation ever comes up again, at least I will know that it is probably something I can do. I thought I was done making cookies for my children, since they are in their 30's! Boy was I mistaken. My 2 sons teach and are the wrestling coaches at a HS in Columbus, Ohio, and I have done more baking and cooking for various affairs than I ever imagined. Just got a call tonight requesting banners for the wrestling room. Oh well. I guess it is nice to still be needed. Again, thanks to all of you for the quick responses.
