Don't answer that...I know I am!!!

The home health company that I work for has called at 4:00 today and ordered 400 cookies for tomorrow 8:00 AM icon_eek.gif

I agreed icon_surprised.gif but told them they would just get an assortment. Thank goodness I have chocolate chip and sugar cookie dough already frozen. I will also make some Cake Truffles, white chocolate dipped apricots, nd chocolate dipped Oreos.

Now, you guys won't hear from me again until tomorrow!

Wish me luck...I"M GOING IN!!!!

Yes you are, but I would have done the same thing, even if I would have had to pull an all nighter!

Goodness--it wasn't an all-nigther...Got thru by 2:30

Here is what I made:
10 doz chocolate chip cookies
6 dozen sugar cookies
5 dozen peanut butter cookies
10 dozen chocolate dipped Oreos
5 dozen Amaretto cake truffles
4 dozen Raspberry cake truffles

If I ware at this expo, I would stay where the chocolate was--so I figure our booth should be VERY popular.

Cake Truffles are a fancy name for cake balls.
Everytime I call them that at work, the giggles and snickers go on forever, so I figured cake truffles sounded more elegant than balls...LOL!

hahahaha,

since I make adult themed cakes....mine are just plain cake balls! and people get a kick out of them for sure.

Now, I know I'm certifiable crazy.
Same company called today and event is a 2-day event. Cookies went fast. Need 300 more.
I'm making chocolate chips (those were the 1st gone), chocolate dipped Oreas (2nd gone) and instead of sugar cookies, I'm making SweetSpots. Apparently enverybody was wanting chocolate.

What stamina!!! That's a lot of work in one day!!
I would let them know to give at least a week's notice next time. They were lucky you were available to bake all those cookies!!!
But it sure must make you feel terrific all those cookies went right away!!!

I just wonder who did most of the eating...the people coming to the expo? Or our own employees that were manning the booth?
Hmmmm???? I did see several wiping their mouths when I came by!

Oh well--back to the oven!

Oh and I have a new idea for a football homecoming thingy-m-bob. I will work on that while the cookies bake and hopefully post it tomorrow.
Yes...it does have to do with cookies!

Ok I'm going to sound really uninformed here, but how do you make a cake ball?? I like the cake truffle name, and was curious about what it is, and then you said it's simply a cake ball.....but I don't know what that is either! Would you please tell?

The recipe is fromm cookieman here on CC. Look under recipes and type in cake balls.

You use scraps of cake to make balls and dip in chocolate or powdered sugar or cocoa. Really yummy.
