I am looking for ideas and hopefully some examples of a cheerleading themed cake. I have not decided if I want dimensional or not, and would like to incorporate pom poms (of course) and maybe a megaphone. Can anyone out there help or at least point me in the right direction? Thank you! I have until mid August, so no rush.
Here is an abstract that I found on Joanndesigns.com where they have patterns and designs for embroidery. Lots of good design ideas here!

I saw a cheerleading cake in the 2005 Wilton yearbook. They used fondant cutters to make the cheerleaders ans pull-out poms poms with star tip 16. I will see is I can scan the picture...however, I am moving in a week and I think I might have packed that book! My other suggestion would be to find a cheerleader clipart and have an edible image made.

You could also use the mini wonder ball pan (or cupcakes for that matter) and pull out grass tip to make a set of pom poms and a cut out megaphone from fondant.
