Hi everyone! My husband will be graduating from dental school next year and I'd like to make a tooth cake for the party. I would like to try to make a 3-D tooth. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them! Thanks icon_biggrin.gif
Cake's a powerful food. Cake can actually bring people together. You know... "It's Bill's birthday" "Yeah, I hate that guy." "There's cake in the conference room." "Well, I should say hello."-Jim Gaffigan

Hello dodibug...welcome to Cakecentral! I saw a cake that looked like a set of dentures...it was so cute. I think it was made something like this:

Bottom layer 8" cake
Middle 2 layers 6" cakes
Top Layer 8" cake

The cakes were stacked and iced in pink (colors of gums) and then teeth were cut from fondant and placed on the 6" cakes. I hope I explained that ok! You could also do 10" and 8" cakes instead!

You could cut out layers of cake like this...

stack them and trim to look like one big 3D tooth.
Birthdays are just nature's way of telling us to eat more cake.

You could use the wonder mold pan or the large pampered chef mixing bowl to bake a cake and then decorate the top like the top of a molar.

Hope your day is a piece of cake!

You guys are giving me some great ideas. Thank you so much. I also found some great candy molds on sugarcraft for a tooth and set of teeth. I'm just glad I've got plenty of time to figure all this out!! Thanks again!! icon_biggrin.gif
