Signature Images Guidelines

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to make a quick announcement about signature images.
A lot of our members have cute little counters, or sparkly images generated from other websites. These are OK to have in your signature, just make sure they stay within the following guidelines:

1. Images must be no more than 100px high or 600px wide
(give or take a few pixels)

2. Only 1 Banner image, or Counter may be used in your signature

3. Absolutely no obscene, violent, or adult themed images are permitted.

We have this guideline because if people have too large signatures, it makes the forum very difficult to read and follow.

Question ... how do we know how big the image is if it's a counter? Can I assume that mine is not too big if it was not rejected when I added it to my profile?

Hi Jess,

You can find out an image size by right clicking the image, then click "Properties" It will tell you the width & height.

Your current image is
420 px wide
72 px high

which is well within the guidelines.

Thanks Jackie! Unfortunately, the right clicking thing doesn't work on Macs (darn it!!!), but I appreciate the info. icon_smile.gif

To simulate a right mouse button click while using a one-button mouse on a Mac, like to get a context sensitive menu for an object on the screen, hold down ctrl and click the mouse button while your mouse pointer is over the object. thumbs_up.gif

My mouse is two-button, but when I right-click, "properties" isn't one of the options. Am I missing something? I am still trying to figure out my new Mac ... I know PC's like the back of my hand, but I am still trying to get the hang of Macs. icon_smile.gif
