from a jewelry party and DH is watching Ace of Cakes!! My jaw just about hit the floor. I was like "Honey!! I am so proud of you!" He just looked at me and said, "Well, it's a repeat. But that Taj Mahal cake is just so damn cool I had to see it again."

Awwww! That's cute icon_smile.gif I get various people to get excited once in a blue moon, but in general they look at me like, "Good grief, Woman, get your head out of the cake!" icon_lol.gif

My hubby will watch Duff and Alton Brown whether I'm home or not...cool guys that do interesting things with food. I love that my interest flows over to him. When he is gone however, I do NOT turn on Spike TV!! LOL icon_biggrin.gificon_rolleyes.gif

That is so funny because last night I saw AOC was on and got all excited. To my surprise hubby turns to me and say, "Oh good I wanted to see this one (the castle one)" I was floored, now this is a man that has not seen a whole movie in years as he ALWAYS falls asleep, he even fell asleep in the movie thearter and I had to keep hitting him in the ribs because he was snoring. Well I'll be darned if he didn't stay awake for both shows.
Must have somehting to do with fri the 13th.

My Hubby is a Lost fanatic. I like all the cooking shows and challenges among other non-food related shows (Can you say T.V. addict). But when it comes to AOC he is right there beside me watching too. Of course I put it on lastnight during a commercial of something he was watching and I hear " Oh it's just a re-run" And he says he doesn't watch much T.V. Ha

I watch Spike TV for CSI....when I can find nothing else, there is usually CSI on. If not on Spike, then A&E...

My DH loves AOC too. He is so funny though...if it looks like there's even the possibility of a disaster, he'll cover his eyes and say "I can't watch!" He's so afraid of seeing someone drop one of those amazing cakes (aren't we all!). I think he almost fell of the couch while watching Duff deliver a cake to the Preakness (I think it was the Preakness anyway) and walking through that sea of people tring to keep it all together. I love it that so many DH's have developed such an appreciation for cake decorating!

You guys are so lucky, my boyfriend (is it still called that when we have been together for allmost 4 years?) he can hardly look at a pic of a cake. I i'm not baking for him he is not interrested.

Wish we had that show here. Sounds great.

I had too LOL at this because mine is the same way. I can't tell you how many times we've had to watch a movie over and over again because he fell asleep and missed 1/2 of it! I can usually count on seeing a movie by myself even in the theater because he will snooze almost the second the lights go out!!! And...It's amazing to me that somone can snore like that in an upright position!!!!!!!

I was on the phone with the boyfriend last night while it was on.

And of course explaining everything to him because he does not have the Food Network Channel icon_eek.gif , I know. But he's got every movie channel they offer.

I was getting the, "oh really", "all man are you kidding", "I have got to see that". There may be hope for him yet.

I recorded on the DVR so he can see them.

My hubby watches AOC with me as well AND he always reminds me about the cake challenges!!!

The episode that almost did my husband in was Geof's first Jeep cake. When he dropped it off and the groom didn't even really look at the cake; he just ripped into it!! My husband gasped when he saw that!! LOL!!
