I would like to make the snickers cake. But, the recipe states to serve it with ice cream or whip cream. Nothing about frosting, torting, filing. So I am wondering if this cake would be way too sweet to torte it and frost it. I have some chocolate Kaluha buttercream in the freezer that needs to be used soon. Wondering if this would be overkill for this cake. Thanks.

I went ahead and made this cake and frosted it. It was not too sweet at all. Everyone loved it and brought a piece of cake home with them. The cake was very moist. The peanuts from the snickers gave it an extra zing. I think that I may make this for quilt group next time they come to my house.
