omy it's fabulous. And it's a very mellow moist cake I would think any filling you'd want would be good, especially fruit wise. I generally fill mine with just plain old buttercream icing.. I made my sisters wedding cake with buttercream and wasc cake people were RAVING about it, actually fighting over the left over pieces... my step mom actually stuffed a piece that had NO frosting on it in a baggy and shoved it in her purse.. i said but it's been sitting out and i cut a hunk of leftover for you she said well that cake is just TOOO good to throw away and took home that little sad slice as well.. I would suggest it for sure. i'm sure you'll love it

I made it with just the cup of cake flour a cup of sugar, a cup of sour cream, 1/4 cup of butter and 1/4 cup of canola oil. used milk instead of water.(one cup) The last one I made was filled with pineapple and topped with coconut. YUM! Tasted homemade.

I made this for a wedding cake and it was fabulous, WASC and I replaced the liquid with the white chocolate raspberry coffee creamer and then I made a raspberry filling (I got from this site), it is a tweaked Emeril recipe and it is fabulous. Sorry I can't remember who submitted it but it is awesome and it does not soak into the cake!! Anyway makes a delicious cake.
