Hello everyone
I was wonder is this book the same I have been reading about on some of the post? Is there one just for scratch cakes. I was at Sams Club today and picked up The Cake Mix Bible for a good price. Thanks
Cheryl

I am not sure it is the same. The CAKE BIBLE is a basic guide to all things cake, written by Rose Levy Berambaum. She address the science of baking and cakes.

The CAKE DOCTOR is about using modified cake mixes for great results.

We will be interested to hear to judgment of any recipes you try.

I have this book also. I asked a question about this book on cake central and everyone was getting it confused with The Cake Bible.

There are three books with similar names:

The Cake Bible - has scratch recipes

The Cake Mix Doctor - has recipes using cake mixes

The Cake Mix Bible - also has recipes using cake mixes.

I have the last two but I prefer using the The Cake Mix Doctor rather than The Cake Mix Bible. I have tried only one recipe from The Cake Mix Bible so I'm not sure if the book is a great source or not.

Ijust got The Cake Bible from the library. I think after browsing through this I might want to check out The Cake Mix Bible. I'm not interested in getting into scratch cakes at this point, but am interested in sprucing up mixes. i also checked out The Wedding cake Book by Dede Wilson. It's got a lot of helpful stuff and recipes.
