I used some butavan flavoring in my icing for some cakes I made last night... It tastes wonderful!!! Everyone loved it icon_biggrin.gif I also used frozen cakes that I had made Monday, that were taken out of the freezer yesterday. They were great .. very moist, not dry at all ... I had reservations about freezing cakes and whether or not they'd taste as fresh and as moist as mine usually do .. they taste exactly the same way ... I unwrapped the aluminum foil I had them wrapped in, but left the saran wrap on them until I got home last night to decorate them... they were just as soft as if I'd just baked them ... I plan to keep a few in the freezer from now on for emergencies icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks to everyone for all the advice on the cake freezing icon_smile.gif

P.S. tcturtleshell, if you've never taste butavan flavoring before, I mixed enough to take along with me up there to decorate with ... you'll have to taste some of it when I'm there for the DOS icon_smile.gif

Where do you purchase the butavan? The only place I've seen it is on Earlene's webstie.
Or did you make it yourself?
