Hi everyone, I am looking for a yummy homemade cake filling, that is not necessarily buttercream, I would be interested in buttercream if someone has a fantastic recipe. I have a wedding cake due on the 9th, and I want to
start it on Wednesday, It's fondant covered so it should not go in the fridge.

It's a chocolate cake, no alcohol or coffee also.

Oh, and does anyone have a sugar syrup recipe for a chocolate cake that has no alcohol or coffee besides vanilla.

Thanks

Nutella . . . chocolately hazelnut goodness. MMMMMM. Raspberry jam would be yummy, too. You can use it plain, or I sometimes mix it with buttercream.

Have you ever made caramel by boiling a can of condensed milk?? Its so delicious and eay. You take the paper off the can, cover it in water and boil the can for like 60 minutes--- the longer you boil the thicker it gets....

It makes a delicious creamy caramel...

Choc cake goes extremey well with cranberry preserve or Rhubarb preserve. Both do not need refridgeration. I just add Vanilla flavour into my simple syrup for choc cake. Or if you go with orange jam you could add some orange flavour into the syrup. Tastes good too

Ganache doesn't need to be refrigerated. Could make either a white choc ganache or caramel ganache.

My favorite - well my most requested - is oreo cookie filling. I just crush oreo's and mix with bc. Kids and adults love it.
