I'd be tempted to go with a gumpaste figure because how is the bear pan(made into a monkey of course) going to fit on the unicycle... hhehehehe you post made me laugh, but I do believe you cause you should hear some of the stuff my niece and nephews ask for!

I did Boots the Monkey from Dora The Explorer. In my pics.
You would probably have to do a lot smaller version than what I did for the monkey. How many people does it need to feed?
But I think the whole thing could be done! You would have to make the wheel with heavy duty wire inside some gumpaste or mexican paste that has dried for a while. The juggling you would also have to do with wires inserted into the top of the monkeys head and have it cut at different intervals for the effect. I would make him juggling little bananas! Use the canary yellow luster dust for that because it really gives you a great effect. Also a little bit of light green on the ends and a few brown spots cant hurt!

Hi,

I made a monkey themed cake last year. I used a Wilton idea from their website. It was called Monkeys in the Middle. It used the mini bear stand up pan. It turned out great and the client loved it. Hope this helps.

Thank you everyone....

weirkd-That is exactly the size I was thinking.....What pan did you use??? I am just goin to put the monkey on a 12 inch...it needs to feel 70 people. So, I figure if it is a big monkey.....that would work. What did you use for the legs and arms?

sugarplumfairycanada -Thank you too...I couldn't seem to find anything on there....but now Iknow what exactly to look for....Thanks!!!!

"Jackson" did a really great monkey (Curious George) 3D. I saved it in my favorites for inspiration when I do my sons birthday cake later this month. Really cool, check it out....

I used the Wilton ball pan for the head, the body was three 9" pans then they were carved. The arms, legs, tail and ears were all chocopan.
Good luck! And dont forget to let us know when you post the pics!

Thanks nicole! I made this huge cake and then no one could go to the party so most of it got thrown away. So sad.
