I've never made one but I can picture a 9 x 13 cake and on the top use wide strips of fondant, to resemble the noodles. You could "ruffle" the edges on the fondant using a ball tool. Use icing on the sides, to resemble the cottage cheese and whatever you made for spaghetti sauce on your spaghetti cake could be made for the sauce on this cake. Good luck, can't wait to see a pic!!

How about torting your layers and using a cannoli-type filling, so you have the look of the ricotta layers when it's cut? Maybe also using a raspberry filling for the look of the sauce? I'm picturing a 9x13 cake with a piece already taken out, so you can see the layers (have some of the raspberry sauce dripping from the "cut" slice. I like the idea of fondant or white chocolate "noodles" layered into the cake and on top of the cake. You could also grate some fondant or white chocolate onto the top to resemble grated cheese.

Sounds like a fun cake - can't wait to see pics!

I can't wait to see your cake (please post). Actually, I was thinking of a lasagna cake b/c I just got a pasta maker off ebay(not to make pasta, of course). It has a lasagna attachment. After seeing those spag. cakes, I thought, "why not a lasagna cake?" If you don't have a pasta maker, I agree, the noodles could be cut & ruffled on edges. You could make thin layers choc. cake for a "hamburger" appearance. That would go great with rasp. or stawberry glaze & cannoli or cream filling (as suggested).
good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! They all sound good. I was trying to get around using MMF as I have only used it one other time. But....its worth a try!
Thanks
