I'm new at this and I would like to make Satin Icing can anyone tell me what icing sugar is and where it can be bought?

I believe it it just another term for powdered sugar/confectionary sugar.

Yes it is confectioners sugar, the "language" differs from country to country, i have to decipher alot of American terms. We Aussies talk funny i'm told.HEHe.

in the states is called 10x, or superfine (which is such a superfine word). you can go even finer with donut sugar (but it's not commercially available). icing sugar contains a small amount of cornstarch to prevent clumping. icing sugar can be found in any grocey or bulk food store next to the regular granulated sugar.
