Hey everyone....

Can you tell me how long a fondant covered cake dummy can last and if there are any special tips or advice? I am making a cupcake tree for my DD and her friends but would like to make a special little cake that matches for her to keep. (for a while anywayicon_smile.gif ) Any tips are appreciated! Thanks! p.s......do they attract ants?!?!? She wants to keep it in her room....

i keep them anywhere up to 6 mths. as long as there isn't any moisture. They also sell a spray for cakes at pastry chef .com to keep your displays for a long period of time

As for the critters never had a problem. Mine just dry out so hard like a rock.

I have one that was made in 1998 and it still looks good even with piping gel on it. No problem with ants or any bugs at all.
