Hi

I am new to the forum and looking for a great icing recipe for sugar cookies. I would like one that drys well and is shiny when dry. Any tips would also be much appreciated. Thanks

Nicole

they have a great recipe already in the recipe folder under toba garrett's glace icing. that's what i use. it dries nice and smooth, it's more forgiving than royal, and it tastes great without being crumbly. my only issue with it is because of the corn syrup, it takes at least 12 hours to dry. it's so worth it though!

I haven't used it yet, but I believe this is the one everyone just refers to as "Antonia's Icing" here on the boards. Seems to be the favorite.

I love the royal icing recipe that Antonia74 posted! But, it doens't dry shiny. I think that the glaze/icing recipe by Toba Garret does, though.
