For those who sell cake balls, how much do you charge?
Also, how do you sell them? By the dozen, half dozen???
I sell 8 for $10 and i lb (About 12) for $15.
I figured in the box and ribbon cost as well. You can see them on my site if you like.
Thanks,
Julia
Well of course size matters . I try to stick really close to $15.00 per cake mix when I am figuring out pricing for cakes. It is just my general rule of thumb. So, one time when I needed cake balls I had to bake a cake to make them. I discovered I can make 40-45 golf ball size (maybe slightly smaller) cake balls from a mix. So that is how I price them $4.00 a dozen or 40 for $15.00 I have never sold less than 40 at a time though. I have about one order a week for them.
You can do a search for cake ball or for cookieman. They are made with cake scraps and are very yummy. There is a thread called "cakeballs they went wild" It is a few pages long and are discussed alot there.
acookieobsession ... I love how you call them "cake truffles"! So creative! I love the way you package them, too. I may have to start selling them, too! It's really a great idea!!!!
