Nonpareil Sprinkles On Royal Icing?

Can I use Wilton's Nonpareil Sprinkles on royal icing? Im new to cookie baking so i wasn't sure if this would work
Thanks for any advice/tips.

The only thing I might be worried about is the colors bleeding into the royal icing. So do a test run of one cookie and see what happens. And welcome to CakeCentral!

WELCOME TO CAKE CENTRAL!

I agree with rhondie...the nonpareils' colors might bleed for you.

I've used them before on royal icing though and didnt have a problem. Make sure your icing is fairly thick; the more liquid in your icing, the more your colors will bleed.

I've used them on cookies (see cupcake cookies in my gallery), and had no problems whatsoever. The royal dries too quickly on a cookie to cause a problem, at least in my experience!

Thanks, I'll be sure to try a test first, and make sure that icing is completely dry first.
