I use to go to a bakery that sold sugar cookies with a white icing on them. It's not royal icing but it does have a soft inside with a crusted outside. Does anyone know what kind of icing this is, if so would you mind letting me have the recipe, I love those cookies with the icing.

Try Alice's cookie icing in the recipe forum. It has some butter so it won't dry hard as royal will.

Another one you could try that I love is Antonia's icing here on CC. Go to the articles tab at the top of your screen and scroll down to find, "How to ice and decorate cookies". Hope this helps and best of luck to you thumbs_up.gif Check out the cookie forum and get in on the monthly cookie challenge, it's so much fun!
