I made this cake for a friend of mine for her son's b-day so it was more of a gift for him. But, if I was going to sell it to someone else, I'm not sure how much to charge for it. I was thinking about $55-$55 canadian. Is that to much, not enough or perfect...

You did a great job! Personally, I would only ask about $30/$35 (Canadian) for a cake like that.....but maybe people around here are cheap! It's almost always the first question they ask: "how much do you charge...?"! I know a lot of cake decorators on CC get a lot more for their cakes than I could hope to get here - I guess I don't live in the right neighbourhood! (I'm in Cambridge, Ontario - where are you?) I know it's not a big money-making venture, making cakes. I'm hoping once I get some more customers I can raise my prices!

Well normally I charge $35 for a basic shape cake that feeds about 15 - 20 people and they're usually not as 3D or detailed as that one was. For example...this Carebear cake was $35.
