does anyone have any ideas on how to decorate adorable whimsicle cupcakes for a little girls party? also how could one tier finished cupcakes? i would like something that i can reuse over and over any ideas?

Gracie, why don't you try a cupcake cake? They are easy as can be and fun to boot. Think of how much fun a child can have ripping a cupcake from her cake! You can do a BCT for the decoration.

I made cupcakes for my son's preschool and all I did was use the really big startip and go around in a swirl so that the icing swirls around until it finishes in the middle, and then I used that spray-on food coloring that they sell at the grocery store and then added some cute sprinkles and added a decoration to the top, they have those edible figures that come in animals or cartoon caracters, or you could put a toy ring or something cute that the kids could keep after the party.

well if it were a boy, I did some cupcakes for my grandson's class.. I did the gummy worms coming out of the icing and crumbled oreos on it to look like dirt.. the boys absolutely loved it lol

for my daughters class last year I did a cupcake cake shaped like a rainbow, I used the large star tip and the color spray. The class loved it but the teacher didn't. It was very messy! Next time I'll bring a knife to "cut" thru the icing. You could sprinkle some chocolate coins around it also. You might also want go to wal-mart, if there's one near you(just to get ideas). They have cupcake cake in all kinds of shapes...frogs, ladybugs etc...

I did the cupcakes in the ice cream cones, iced them with the big tip in different colors and added the shaped spinkles. They were easy to handle and the kids as well as the adults loved them.

Hi, I was just looking through my Wilton Fun With Fondant book and there were some cute cupcakes in there. Instead of the cupcakes having wrappers on the bottom, they were covered in fondant. The fondant also had different color stripes and some had swirls attached to them. You could even stencil them. The tops of the cupcakes were just swirls of icing and a fondant cherry on top.

hi gracie,
as far as the tiered effect goes you can buy a cupcake stand or tree. at "country kitchens" where i get my supplies the plastic one is about $14 and the metal tree that holds each cupcake (from the description) is about $30. i know you can find them in alot of other supply companies so shop around alittle and have fun with it all! good luck and happy baking!
