Today is Friday and my class is wednesday. Our final assignment is the buttercream roses and drop flowers. We finished early and we convinced our instructor to show us how to make roses. We have to make five roses for class and make a lot of drop roses. She said to make these several days in advance so they have time to dry out. How soon should I be making these things? She also said not to refridgerate them. I have a very busy weekend coming up and I'll squeeze in time to do them depending on how long they take. I already have my icing made.
I dont understand why she wanst them made days in advance if its being made by stiff buttercream?
buttercream doesnt take more then 15min to crust and stiff if you add some cornstartch or more powdered sugar
It takes about 3-5 days for the roses to dry out. It depends on their size and your humidity.
its very hot here in texas and humid! this is the hottest August on record! Average temperature is about 99 degrees!
I live in Mississippi where its quite humid. I use the crusting bc recipe on the website. I works wonderfully for my roses!
