Has anyone ever made those big round chocolate chip cookies that you decorate for special occasions? If so, does anyone have a recipe?

I use my regular chocolate chip cookie recipe, put a large amount on a pizza stone, shape it, and bake it about 10-15 minutes longer than I normally would, depending on the size. I like to make 12-14" cookies. This works best if you put parchment paper down on the cookie sheet or stone first, then your dough. That way, you can easily slide the cookie off to a cooling rack when it's done.

I also use my regular cookie recipe. Make sure you take it out of the oven *JUST* as it is starting to brown, since it will brown a little more after it's out of the oven. (trust me on this! icon_cry.gif I speak from experience. thumbsdown.gif ) The parchment paper underneath is an awesome idea. I never bake without it!

I would definatly use parchment and a baking stone. The stone helps them cook evenly. I have a great chocolate chip cookie recipe if you want it!
