So I bought a practice board at Michael's some time ago and don't know how I'm supposed to use it!

Am I supposed to pipe right on top of the board? Otherwise, why does it come with a stand. What are you supposed to "pipe" on? It doesn't seem like it really teaches you about piping. How is it supposed to be used?

Usually there are practice sheets that you can get to place between the transparent plastic sheet and the yellow backing that allow you to practice piping using different tips. You are meant to pipe directly onto the plastic sheet. The stand is used mainly to practise your stringwork, although I find the stand to be somewhat useless myself.

Oh okay! Duh...that cake stand is what threw me off. I didn't know if I was supposed to practice on the plastic or what?

So I guess I will start practicing!
