Anyone have a good poured fondant recipe that tastes good for petite fours?
I don't like the sleeve kind at all.
Here's one I found on here somewhere a while ago. It's really good.
2/3 cup water
3 TBS clear Karo syrup
2 lbs. Powdered sugar
1 tsp almond extract

Do you just mix it all together or heat it?
This thread might interest you. It has some recipes for poured fondant, including the one used by Peggy Porschen in her book and by Gale Gand: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-333013.html
I mix it up in a pot and put it on very low heat. I add the almond after it's warmed up. I freeze the cake squares and then put them on top of a fork and use a big spoon to pour the fondant on them. (over the pot)
Okay, I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I didn't know there was such a thing. I've only used MMF. What is poured fondant?
MMF is rolled fondant. Poured fondant is liquid-y and used to glaze petit fours or drizzle on sweets.
