Personally I love newyork style cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake , blueberry cheesecake lol I'm not fussy on chocolate or pumpkin tho. As for recipes ... if your looking to try some just google cheesecake recipes and you'll get up so many you wont know where to begin.

I use the recipe for the first cheese cake I ever tasted and that goes back 25 years or more. My friend was shocked that I never had one & said she would make me one & if I liked it, she would give me the recipe because it was so easy. It was love at first bite so I made my first cheesecake. I didn't think it was so easy crushing all those graham crackers.... She got a good laugh out of that and told me they sold them already crushed in a box. duh....

There is one frozen brand I buy in a pinch which is just as good - plain New York Cheesecake.

My friend's recipe is as follows:

Set oven @ 350 degrees F & do not put cake in oven until heated.

Ingredients:
3 - 8 oz. pkgs of cream cheese (don't use the fat free)
3/4 cup of sugar or equivalent (recipe called for a cup but I've always used less)
1 tablespoon vanilla
5 eggs
1 container sour cream (smallest they have)

Crust:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 stick of melted butter
smidgeon of sugar in crust optional

melt butter & use to moisten graham cracker crumbs & smidgeon of sugar & place in spring pan and mold against bottom & sides for crust.

Put other ingredients in large bowl & beat until mixture is smooth (about 3 mins).

Pour into springform pan already lined with crust mixture & put in oven for approx. one hour. Cool & pour one can of your favorite filling.

My hubby's friend had a good one with ricotta in it but I never got the recipe.
