Does anybody have pointers on shipping cakes (especially decorated cakes) and cookies (especially those dipped in chocolate)?

It is almost impossible to ship a decorated cake, and hugely expensive. You might check with a local shipping company to see if you can send items with chocolate in a cold pack.

the only cakes that ship with any success, and undecorated cakes, like pound cakes. Or small cakes covered in fondant, and carefully packed. Still, it can be expensive.
