Where did you get the foot cookie cutter? Left and right or did you flip the cutter?

They look wonderful! Very bright, festive, and "summery"... especially all packaged up! icon_smile.gif

What did you use to decorate them?

Thanks so much ladies, here is another picture I took of the bouquet so that you can see the little sand pail I used for the container. Had to search high and low for this as everything in the store is either Fall or Halloween!

Yes, I just flipped the foot cookie cutter to get a left and a right...same thing for the palm trees.

I used Alice's icing, the one on how to bake and decorate cookies which you will find in the articles tab at the top of your screen.

Did you stick a skewer in these cookies after you baked them? How long after you baked them did you do this? Did they crumble at all while placing a stick in them? And di dyou use a skewer?

Hi drgl21, yes I used bamboo skewers. I placed them in the cookie before baking making sure to stick the blunt end in the cookie not the sharp end. I learned that here on CC as someone told me it might poke someone when they went to take a bite. Try to slide them in evenly straight up the middle so that there is enough cookie all the way around the stick and you shouldn't have a problem with them falling off. I also rolled them out a little thicker than I normally would and let them bake a minute or two longer. I used Martha Stewart's cookie recipe, I love the taste of the fresh lemon juice and zest in the recipe. Hope this helps.

Your cookies look great, I'm glad they turned out so well! icon_lol.gif

Have a question, though, just to clarify for others who are reading, about the icing you used:

Alice's icing is not the one in the tutorial, that's Antonia74's icing. Which one did you really use? icon_wink.gif

Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention...my error. It is Antonia's icing and I think the confusion came in when I misread her post earlier this month...http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-35393-royal.html+icing

The icing recipe is hers and the No-Fails cookie recipe is not. The only thing I add to her icing recipe is Creme Bouquet for flavoring.

I've never tried the creme bouquet, but it's on my list for the next time I'm at the cake store.

I'm glad to hear it's good in Antonia's icing, I love the way the cookies taste with the icing plain, but am always looking for a way to make them even better!

Laura.
