Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong but I think a 1/4 is 9x13 and a 1/2 is 12x18. Hope this is right because a while back I had the same question and it was very confusion, but the ladies here on CC are such a BIG help that I decided this was the size that I'm going to use.

i've always found it easier to just deal in 9 x 13 sizes.... wresteling with those bigger pans i end up breaking something icon_cry.gif plus this way you can add more variety to the cake like one cake white, one choc, one marble on a 3/4 sheet cake. anyway, hopes this helps and not confuses!!
1/4 sheet = 1 9x13
1/2 sheet = 2 9x13's layed side to side
3/4 sheet = 3 9x13's layed side by side
full sheet = 4 9x13's made into a "square" 2 side by side and the other 2 end to end with the first two.

This is what I use:
9x13=1/3 sheet
11x15=1/2 sheet
12x18=3/4 sheet
2 11x15=full sheet
Most of the bakeries around here use sizes like this....so I like to do it this way and no one has ever complained! I usually ask how many people they want to feed and then give my suggestion on what size I think they should get!
