I want to send a care package of cookies to a soldier in Iraq. It takes 2 weeks for packages to get to the soldiers, any idea how I could make cookies last long enough to get them to Iraq?

is there real butter in the recipe? if so, they won't last as long as a cookiemade with shortening (the butter starts to turn rancid eventually).
Do you have access to a vaccum sealer?
