How Much Do You Charge Per Cookie?

curious to know. i'm not an expert so i've been charging a dollar per cookie. i know this is dirt cheap.
the internet has all kinds of crazy prices from 2.75 - 14.99 Per cookie (14.99 being the crazy one. lol)
My general rule of thum is $1.00 per inch. Most of my cookies top out at 5 - 5 1/2 inches. I do charge $48.00 a dozen gourmet cookies (chocolate chip, Snickerdoodle, Molasses) and $60.00 a dozen for my decorated cookies on a platter. My Bouquets are 5 cookies for $30.00, 7 cookies for $35.00 and so on.
Have fun with it. If you are confident in your work and portray that to your customer, your prices really shouldnt be an issue.
I have prices between $1 (for really small cookies) up to $5 for some more intricate ones. I find, for me personally, that having a range brings me more business. On average, a dozen decorated cookies is $25
I came from a small town...so my pricing reflects that. My small, simple decorated cookies (very little design detail) begins at $12 per dozen--medium, more involved cookies range to $17 per dozen. I rarely do anything large--although I have a few 4.5 and 5 inch cutters.
My regular cookies (undecorated) are roughly 1.5 ounces each and are $9 and $10 per dozen. At this time, I have 12 flavors.
well my first question for you is what type of cookie are you talking about? Decorated sugar? Drop chocolate chip? Other drop flavors?
Here is a basic run down of my list.
Cut out sugar cookies with royal icing (up to three colors) decoratings $1.00/ INCH if they are only boxed up. If they want them bagged then it is another $1/cookie. Cookie boquets are priced per cookie then another $5-$15 for the container and my time (this depends on what container and how many are oging into it) If they want more than 3 colors per cookie then it is an by order pricing depending on the intricate design I will have to do.
For all of my dropped cookies I currently charge $5.00/dozen for 2" cookies.
Hope this helps
I am from a small down in the midwest (well little larger for this area) but it doesn't change the amount of time I have to put into the cookies or the money that I have to spend on the ingredients, and it takes me more time to go to the store to get what I need. So I have my prices set, I understand that not everyone can afford my cakes/cookies but I am not aiming to sell to everyone. I am trying to sell to someone who will appreciate the art of cake decorating and throughly appreciates the taste of everything I make b/c I take pride in how it all taste and nothing gets added to my menu until it has been tested by me and multiple people I trust to be honest.
I just sold my first batch of cookies, and according to what all of you are saying, i undercharged!!! I only charged $2 for approx 3" cookies, in little bags. I sold 40 of them, but I'm hoping that they will bring in more business. I'll post pictures of them soon and you can tell me what you all think of my pricing.
my cookies start at $3 each. For larger, more intriquet(spelling?) designs it goes up from there. sticks are an extra dollar.
I'm in a very rural area, so I will be on the low end of this poll! I get $9 per dozen on decorated cookies, $10 with logo or photo and $15 bagged and tied with curling ribbon. I have a 2 dozen minumum order and feel pretty good with these prices right now. My recipe bakes off 12-15 dozen 3-4" cookies and mine are generally decorated with buttercream and boxed 2 dozen per box.

My lowest price has always been $4/per cookie...and so far, I've gone up to $4.75/per cookie. Depending upon size of cookie, # of different colors, type of design (detail) and if they want customization...writing names, dates, etc. This includes individual bagging and curling ribbons, too.
