Hi very new at forum but wondering what to charge for mini woder doll cakes. About 8 of them for a little princess party. Made with buttercream and covered with fondant and details added. Also what do you all think I should charge for a pricess castle cake much like the wonderful ones done on CC by all of you. And how about a reg size wonder mold doll cake what would you charge? I just don't know what to charge for these cakes. The mother is still not sure if she wants a castle or regular size doll cake and mini doll cakes to go with it. Either way she is going to order the mini doll cakes for 8 little girls. Not needing to do it until middle of Sept. But would like and idea of price. Thank you all so much.
I would charge no less than $!00.00 for the castle cakes here and the one I did..served about 30 people.I charge $45.00 for Doll cakes and I would charge at least $35.00 for the 8 mini'sThe are very time consuming to decorate and bake.
Thank you so very much for your input. This gives me good idea of what to charge. By the way your cakes are just awsome. I mean WOW! My kids are here looking at your photos and they are YELLING out which ones they like. Thank You.
I did some of the mini doll cakes...you can look in my photos. I just did them for practice...I'm very new to cake decorating. They took about 30 min. each to decorate.
If I were selling them, I think I'd charge at least $10-$15 each...but that is because I haven't sold my first cake yet!
Good Luck!
LittleLinda,
No I would charge $35.00 for the 8!!
Whew! OK!
I'm just reading your signature and I laughed because I am 4'11!!!
Yes, you look small in your picture (avatar). the cake is almost as big as you! LOL
SweetTater thanks for letting me know how long it took to decorate the mini. Love the idea of using buttercream so the kids could really enjoy them. Your cakes came out so cute!!! Love the idea that they were for twins Thanks for the suggestions
You're welcome! I know I'm very new at decorating, and with practice you can get alot faster. But by the time you decorate 8 little cakes, I'd say you'd have at least 2.5 - 3 hours invested...not including making the cakes and frosting....or fondant decorations!
So just be sure to get paid accordingly! Have fun!
SweetTater Yup you are right. Plus get this I am starting to move this weekend. So most of my things will be packed but you know what will be unpacked first...all my cake supplies. Thanks.
