does anyone have a simple amaretto cake recipe (preferrably using a box mix) that can be iced and filled with buttercream and still taste good?

scroll down towards the bottom for the amaretto cake recipe, it is the one from the cake mix doctor.
A good variation that I like to do with this one is switch out the vanilla pudding with chocolate, add 1 cup cocoa powder, add 1 ounce semi-sweet baking chocolate- melted or 1/4 chocolate syrup (the kind you put on ice cream). Then you get a chocolate amaretto cake that is yummy!

You can mix in alcohols with most cake mixes. Just sub part of the water for alcohol. You don't want to add more two 2/3rds to 3/4ths cup of alcohol though or the cake will be dry.
