so...need some help with finding pictures and ideas for an "elegant" twist for the mexican tradition of the day of the dead for a potential cake. any ideas cuz I ve got none and I cant seem to find too muc out there!! please any ideas!!! thanks!! icon_eek.gif

I love this holiday. The artwork is so vibrant!

Sugar skulls are a big part of Dia de los Muertos, so I would try to incorporate those into your design somehow. Either make them part of your artwork or make and decorate some sugar skulls to use on the cake. They have molds for all different sizes of skulls and you can decorate them with royal icing. Do a google image search for sugar skulls to see some pics.

Here's a link on how to make packed sugar skulls and you can also order molds. (There's another method where you boil the sugar but I've only done the packed sugar ones. They're super ez.)
