I purchased Americolor fuschia a while back for this evening's wedding order. Well, I'm mixing it into the bc, and it's PURPLE!!! It doesn't match the bride's swatch even remotely. Does anyone have a different mixing chart or mixing guide for how to properly produce fuschia???

Thanks,
Amy

I'm guessing your swatch is more pink.
Take a small amount into a cup and add pink from the end of a toothpick to see if you can get to the right shade. It is hard to say not seeing the actual colors. You could also try a spoon of it mixing yellow in with the purple to neutralize it some and then add some pink. Depending on how dark the shade of purple you might also have to start with some red to change the shade palette over then pink. Or yellow, then red, then pink...
Once you get the right shade you just repeat for the larger batch.

Here's what someone on the Wilton forum suggests to make fushia:
"To make Fushia, use 3/4 t. rose and add 6 toothpick dots of royal blue. "

Maybe you could experiment with the royal blue????

HTH

btw...i copied this post from a recent post about coloring fondant fuchia colored.

That might work too...see if you can tinge the purple over to blue and then add the rose.
or
yellow, then blue then rose.
Hopefully you won't have to start over.
