Does anyone know how to make the whipping cream buttercream. I am making a sculpted cake with whip cream filling and frosting, but I heard of whip cream buttercream to make it more sturdy.

Insight? Idid not find a recipe in the recipe section.

I sometime use a Whipped Cream Buttercream, but it doesn't have whipping cream in it. It is a very light and fluffy buttercream that holds up well and is not as sweet as regular buttercream.

Here is a link to the recipe:

The recipe i use is:

2 cups crisco shortening
2 pounds conf. sugar
1-2 tsps clear vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup of whipping cream

Cream shortning, add vanilla and salt. gradually add sugar and mix well at low speed. As mixture gets stiff add a little cream so your mixer doesn't overheat. After all sugar has been added and mixed well, add remaining whipping cream and beat on high speed for about 5 minutes.

I usually add a little more whipping cream (about a 1/4 cup) till i get the consistency i desire.

I tend to add my sugar i about 1 cup increments and mix it well before i add more.
Anyone I have ever made this frosting for has loved it because it's soft and smooth and not overly sweet.
I use this recipe on a lot of my cakes. It goes great with cakes where i use something like a strawberry filling
