how long are they good for out of the fridge. The party is on sat. I am realllly short on time next week. The cookies are currently frozen. Could I thaw them and decorate them this weekend and leave them out? icon_cry.gif

they will be royal icing /sugar cookie

That is a week, if I understand correctly. That would be a long time to keep a cookie at its best. You can decorate a re-freeze them.

But, if you can store them in an airtight container, I suppose they would last OK.

I don't think they taste very good a week out. Mine are made with real butter and I think they get a funny "twang" from the plastic container/bag or the butter or something....
