My husband and I run a racetrack, and we are having a luau party for the kids. I am making 200 cupcakes tomorrow. I'm not really for sure what to put on them to make them luau-y(?). Anyways any suggestions.

Thanks in advance

200 cupcakes for tomorrow?! Woah. You could buy a whole bunch of those little umbrellas that people put in drinks. You can get those at the dollar store. Then you could just put a few drop flowers in bright colours. You could also make the middle of the cupcake light brown and the outside light blue so it looks like a little island. I'm guessing you need something not too complicated since you're making so many! Good luck.

you could make palm trees from pretsels and the leaf tip. then have little teddy grams in bikinis and swim trunks. I did a cake like this once. the kids loved it. I am doing one for my son's birthday too...

These cupcakes were done by chefshar.. these are kinda what SaraO was describing. Something simple, yet look really neat and the kids would love them.

Sorry I don't have a pic, but I just did cupcakes for my nieces Luau party.
I put a package of coconut creme cookies in the food processor till they were fine crumbs...
Then I got chocolate cupcakes iced them in bc, sprayed half on it with blue color mist (or you could use blue bc) & added a few blue sugar crystals to resemble the water on the other half I put some coconut cookie crumbs to resemble the sand & the stuck an umbrella in it. They were super quick, tasty & probably one on my biggest hits!!!
