Looking for some ideas to make some cookies for a bake sale at work for the AHA. Do you think a summer theme would work (bikini, sun, palm tree, watermelon, etc) or what about a heart shape with stars and stripes that are on this site http://www.cookiesbydesign.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=A77 or do you creative folks have some great ideas up your sleeves? Please share with me. They are not due until next Wednesday so I have some time to work on this.

P.S. I am thinking of making a cookie bouquet this time (1st time!) and if you have any SIMPLE ideas about doing a logo transfer of AHA, that would be great too!

Thanks,
Sams

Sams, how much work are you putting into this? Sounds like you want it simple so make things easy for yourself. thumbs_up.gif I say go with assorted versions of decorated hearts. I think anything summer related would be cute, though, too. Did you start them already?

I think the summer theme is a good one. Back to school would also probably be a good one. Yudyspad and I did Easter cakes in April for the Relay for Life fundraiser at her work. Season themes will always be a good one. We're planning to hit the big holidays w/cakes and cookies this year to do even more fundraising.

Well, I would like to keep it kind of simple and these are two examples of what I was thinking of:

this might work as in American Heart

I thought with the bear theme I might add a couple of palm trees and a foot with painted toenails and sandals and sun.

I would put this in a cookie bouquet. Sooooo, whadda think?

They both sound good to me. I think you should go with whatever for the hearts, JMHO, Sams.....make some great colors and just go wild!

You work for the AHA?? So do I! That's so cool!

I think the logo would be neat, if it wasn't too hard to do. If you wanted to cut out the logo in cardboard, you could trace it rather than use cookie cutters, then it would be pretty straightforward to fill in the red.

Hearts decorated other ways would be neat too- or how about the Letters AHA or if your walk is coming up the letters WALK, or a person walking, or a shoe??

Hope that helps!

I just thought of one more, the red dress! You could use a gingerbread girl cookie cutter and then just use the dress, cover in red icing and add a small white heart.
