Is there a recipe for crusting peanut butter icing? Or could you add meringue to an existing peanut butter recipe?

i made a reg buttercream last week, and used a whole bag of melted peanut butter flavor candy melts in it, it turned out WONDERFUL. Just remember that it gets thicker as the "chocolate" gets hard.
