Hello, my name is "karmicflower" and I too am a CC addict!!
!!! In my house its a fight for the pc between my husband and I. My husband is in IT and well he's always on the pc, both at work and at home (he's a general pc addict) and lately, after we've put the girls to bed and wonder back into the family room, we look at each other and then run at the computer trying to beat the other to it 
, like we were 4 yr olds playing musical chairs .... and my daughter too whines when she see's me get on the pc, "mommy your gonna look at cakes, again!!"
My hubby is an IT guy too-we all have our own computers-his idea...something to think about!! Tell him it will be a great opportunity to use his networking skills-he'll love it!!
An addiction implies something that you'd want to get under control, or fix, or get rid of- I know I'm not taking any steps any time soon to go without CC so I guess I'm not admitting I'm an addict LOL
Eh if I was going to admit anything I'd have to confess that I even log on from other people's houses when I'm over visiting for several hours-oh don't worry, I dont turn anti-social, I include them in the process- showing them what cake idea I want to do for them next

Just as long as my boss doesn't find out how often or how long I am online checking out this site, I'll be ok.
My hubby asks me almost every night "Are you looking at cake porn AGAIN"! But, luckily we each have a computer, so we sit side by side and he plays his computer games, and I have my CC.
My friend at work wanted to read a post she caught me reading so I 'introduced' her to the site, She hasn't logged out since! I'm being a bad influence on her! 
She said the 'ranks' for how many posts everyone has should read like: newbie, jr member, sr. member, fanatic, and GET A LIFE!
To all the 'newbies', You will LOVE CC and quickly become addicted too!
I'm still LOLing at the term 'cake porn' - who says it has to be sexual? lol, I watch Law and Order CI every week (including reruns) in season, and everyone calls that my Vincent Porn (d'onofrio, main actor on the show)- I rather think the word 'porn' is suitable for a lot of subject matters LOL and hey better cake porn than naked men/women porn LOL
I must admit that I am addicted as well!!!! My only access to a computer is at work. I work Mon-Fri 8- 5 pm. And get nothing work related done. I am on this website non-stop. I can see my boss from the corner as she comes out of the office and I can quickly click the minimize button.
My husband and I have our own computers. He has a desk top and I have a lap top that is actually on top of a desk and attached to a couple of printers, one of them being dedicated to edible images.
Am I addicted? Naw..... well, maybe. Okay, I admit, yeah I am. When the system had gone down the last time I was seriously distraught!

CC needs to do what they do during March Madness. There is a website that gives you live feed of the games and scores. Its called "the boss button" . Basically when you minimize the screen instead of it saying Cake Central at the bottom it says something work related.

Thats what I need. Sometimes my screen does not minimize quick enough so they see I am on here. I am going to get in trouble one of these days

Well, for the past couple years, my husband has had his addiction to a particular turbo Ford car site...I just didn't understand HOW he could spend so much time on just that one site...well, now I get it. Lucky for me, he doesn't know just how much time I spend on here since he is an OTR driver, and is usually gone for at least a week or two at a time! When he is home, we each have our own laptops, so will sit together and surf while catching up with each other. The only bad thing...the girls (7, 6, 4) are asking when they get their own laptops!!!!
I too am an addict. I admit it and my husband just laughs. I spend way too much time on here. I have to force myself off so my kids get attention and my house gets attention...I wonder why my garden is full of weeds...
Those that are on during work may want to be carefull. Most employers have ways of monitering what their employees look at online and how much time they spend there. I hope no one gets fired because of cc.

It was 6:35 when we first met.
Just taken my shower, hair still wet.
Thought I take a moment to see what was on line.
Browsing along, not much to do,
Then all of the sudden I saw you.

Well we also have a laptop that my husband uses for work, but he always leaves it in the car when he gets home. Usually we're too lazy to go get it, but when i see him not getting off the pc, i run to the car and get it, the need for CC is too great... it calls to me "Come to the dark side, we have cake!!". Hahaha!!!

I can't stop myself, my kids hate when they see the CC site pop up on my computer and my husband swears I've been brainwashed into a CULT! What a minute look at my # of posts, there is NOTHING wrong with me. LOOK at ALL of YOU! With your super star status! No, not me! For shame, you all need medical help. Hello, My name is Sunflowerfreak and yes, I am an addict too. I never thought I would be. I hang my head in shame. I have to come on in the morning before work, I think about it all day (what am I missing), then when I get home from work, I have to check it out to see what I've missed, then I have to pull myself away to make supper, then back on CC again for a good part of the night. We could all be addicted to other things so I guess we aren't too bad.

my hubby set up my computer so that when i click on "internet explorer" to connect to the web, cc automatically comes up! saves me those precious seconds. i guess this makes him an enabler
