CK dry fondant is used for making cordial cherry candies. You use this to coat the cherries before you put them in the chocolate shell and when it matures it forms the liquid center. CK also sells a "Royal Icing" mix to which you just add water and that is good for cookies.

How did you know that?? I don't think it says that on the bag. I almost bought it once for actual fondant use... good thing I didn't! icon_lol.gif

I actually used it about 4 years ago on cookies I made for a college graduation. Flavored it with almond and everybody raved. If you go to their site and pull it up, it says on the bag it can be used for cookie icing.

I have used it on cookies and love it. My only problem with it is my colors bleed. The taste is great similar to Toba's glace icing/ Wilton's Cookie Pour Icing but creamier tasting. If you do a "search" on dry candy fondant, you'll find more people that use it and their comments.

I used the ck fondant on cookies last Christmas. It tasted wonderful on the gingerbread men. Haven't used it on sugar cookies yet. I like Toba's icing on them.

Happy baking to you!!

I've used it for candy & sugar cookies. I like it much better than Tobas.
