Can I Use A Fondant Bow On A Buttercream Cake?

I'm making a present birthday cake and want to use buttercream icing because it tastes better, but want to do a fondant bow. Will this work?

No fear... I do it all the time. Make sure you let your bow dry for a couple of days just to make sure!
