There is a cake on the opening page of www.fancycakesbylauren.com, does anyone have any idea on how to do the scroll work? Do you think it is made of buttercream? Looks like it to me. Thanks for your help.

looks to me as if she used a template of some kind... kind of like the design stamps that WIlton sells. The cake is stamped and the BC is piped in following the lines.

I figured either bc or decorators icing with syrup for flexibility piped over a stamped template as well.

i would say a stencil.

maybe it is piped on with dark chocolate ganache freehand but following a guide using a pin to make small pin pricks and a print out of the scroll filigree.

Its beautiful tho isnt it??icon_smile.gif
