For those of you still looking at this printer. I stopped by Office Depot and they had it for $99.99 with a $70 mail in rebate. I know a lot of people hate doing the mail in rebates but I've never had any problems with it.

That sounds like a great deal. I am assuming, maybe incorrectly, that this printer can be used for edible images. Can someone who has the whole set up tell me how much more I would have to spend for the edible inks and the special paper?
The edible ink cartridges at Kopykake are $50... the refill kit to refill your cartridges yourself is $39.. the frosting sheets run anywhere from $28 to $56
That's a great deal! I got mine for $13 brand spanking new!! I won it on ebay for $30 and I sold the cartridges that came with it for $17!
Just thought I'd mention that if you are using this with actual ink (not edible) the ink refills for this printer are only $2.95 each at inkgrabber.com. I think I'll head out and buy one tomorrow! Thanks for the heads up! I'm not really ready to have one for doing edible images just yet, but my printer is not a very high quality one. This will be a major step up for me.
I wanted to add something here, the $70 rebate is only if you buy a camera too. Otherwise the rebate is only $20. Those darn sneaky people!
DH found a link for this online, at a very good price though, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=28-102-153&depa=0
we ordered one and it came last night. WOW, it prints so much faster than my old one!
That's a bummer you must have just missed their sale. When I picked up my Canon you didn't have to purchase a camera for the $70 rebate. But it's always a good idea to read the fine print ladies.
