I felt sooo bad for this couple- - Page 3

That is so sad! I would talk to the manager about what happened.

I would have offered to do them a cake for free too, I've got a soft spot for gentle older folks. My grandfather passed away shortly before his 50th wedding anniversary so this is a soft spot for me. It would have felt so good to do their cake for them since 50 years is so great!

I'm crying right now. I can't believe how rude that girl was. I just keep picturing my grandparents and the thought kills me.

Can you go back and complain and try not to smack the poop out of her.

That is so terribly sad. It is hard to imagine that countergirl being so COLD and CRUEL. I just want to hug that wonderful eldery couple and bake them a cake.

So sad that our country is moving into the age of entitlement or "bully for me and screw you attitude". Gone are the days of sterling service.

It happened to Greece and Rome and a few other spoilt countries before their fall also........

Someday that clerk will be older too and I'm a firm believer that you get what you give.

I wonder too why they were picking up their own cake. Surely they didn't plan their own party. I would think it would be someone else's responsibility to get the cake!!

so sad. I hope that girl was reported to the manager!

I would phone up the manager today and ask them if they could do something about the woman in the bakery department. That is just down right rude! At least they didn't have to pay for it (or is it one of those pay before I hand it over type places?) If they had to pay for it and then it got messed up I would've demanded my money back and then slapped that woman. I gotta say that little couple are a great bunch of people. To be able to just smile about it and laugh it off... I couldn't do it I'd had cussed the lady out for not putting it in a better box lol.

I would also go back to the bakery and speak with another person there, maybe you can find a nice clerk this time lol, and see about getting the couple's phone number, I know a little pushy but hey worth a try lol, and offer them your services (if you want/can) and make them a cake for free...

Everyone's actions here on earth are watched every second of every day. Weather it be "your god or mine" he's/she's always watching. When it comes time for our judgement day we will not be pop-quiz..ed on what we know about God and religion, but we will have to sit back and rewatch all of our actions that have made the decision on where we spend eternity. I for one am not very religious but I do know where I want to spend eternity lol. I'd rather spend it next to the rest of my family then in some really hot place with some jerk that would just shrug thier shoulders at a little elderly couple who needed help and instead of help just stood there basically laughing in thier faces....

I also believe very strongly in the phrase "What goes around comes around" and "you get what you deserve", basically had a wake up call a few months back... someone that lied so bad for 10 years about having cancer and this that and the other just for attention now has Lupus and is dying a very painful death and is only expected to live maybe for another year maybe two if she's lucky... She's always been a very mean and hateful person and I feel bad for her children... not her but her children. They don't deserve to lose thier mom so young, but thankfully they have a great father and if I may say so myself a wonderful step mom who loves them very much icon_biggrin.gif lol but you get what you deserve and what goes around does come back to you 10 fold. She made a point to ruin peoples lives and now her's is ruined... I think this bakery clerk will get what's coming to her for being such a biotch and not caring... how can someone just not care? What if that was her grand parents??? Maybe she never had the privledge of meeting her grandparents or caring for one when they broke thier hip and couldn't walk without assistance... maybe she will never know what it's like to care without reason.....
