I wish I could give you advice, but I have the same problem, first few cakes on order and no idea what to charge. I think I am going to go to a few specialty bakeries and see what they charge for a similar cake/servings and undercut slightly, you can't compare to grocery stores of course because if people wanted a uniform cake, they wouldn't be calling you.
By the way, I charged $25.00 for my cake today and the woman gave me $40.00, still a far more expensive cake, I'm sure, but I am still unsure as well.
Good Luck,
Kym

I would charge a minimum of 2.50 per serving depending on your area.

I never get the chance really to go to the bakery and compare prices,I 've thought about it though, maybe when the kids go back to school.thats great you got more for your cake kymcakes icon_biggrin.gif so I ended up charging 2.25 a slice,I'm always nervous when I tell someone how much thier order is icon_surprised.gif
