....to have a brochure when participating in a bridal fair, do ya think??

I don't have one but I'm thinking it's probably pretty dang necessary! icon_lol.gif I would love to not have to fool with making one up and just giving out my business cards. icon_razz.gif

And if you think I should definitely have one, what all would you recommend I include in it? Pics, prices, etc?

HELP! My brain is in overdrive today and I can't think of everything it would need icon_rolleyes.gif

I saw a booth before at a Bridal show and that person didn't have a brochure. They had displays, books of pictures and business cards. Good Luck.

They can be expensive....I participated in a bridal fair...and gave out cards. I also made some edible images of some of my cakes. I used the small round circles and put them on gumpaste rounds that I had inserted a lollipop stick in. I spread them on the table and interested parties took a photo and my card. thumbs_up.gif

I say go for making one. Give them something more than a bus. card to keep YOU fresh in their minds. If its a big event the people looking around will see lots of vendors and can easily forget and go back to the wrong person. Just make it simple a few pics, basic bus. info and a list of what you do (cakes cookies ect...). Keep the prices out of there, you dont want to turn someone off by looking at a price (sticker shock is horrible if they dont understand the quality/product). Give the prices if someone asks. Also, you might want to consider a little coupon in the brochure or something to catch their eye even more (half off a cake tasting or % off a grooms cake w. wedding cake purchase, ect) If you do one, please keep it clear and simple. Goodluck!

You could always make up a flyer with some pictures and general information. You could hand that out with your cards. I would print it yourself to save money.

I have always wanted to do the bridal show where I live...but it is very expensive to get even the smallest booth! icon_sad.gif

Anyways, best of luck to you! icon_smile.gif

Thanks everyone!
I think what I'll do is make up a sort of flyer type thing with some pics and basic info and maybe a listing of my flavors, then contact info....keep it short and sweet! I may print out some price lists to have on hand just in case someone asks for it. I'd rather them know up front if they can afford me or not than have them start the process of ordering/designing a cake and then not like the price I give them, ya know. I've got some brochure paper so I'll have to play around with that tonight and see how the pics look on it.
