Hi, I have been making the marble cakes from the mix, but I am thinking of making one from scratch but didn't know which type of recipe is the right one? Do I use the sponge cake, genoise, butter, yellow, white??? I think the mix one uses some sort of white/yellow cake and then to make the chocolate batter you add some cocoa in the end...but I have no idea which type of cake will give the same texture since I haven't made scratch cakes before...thanks!
I made this recipe for a cake being delivered today, it seemed to turn out great. Beware, don't taste the batter because you will not be able to stop, it is delicious. I filled it with vanilla custard, yum, yummm!
